British Coast - Stage 064 - Portsmouth to Stokes Bay
21st March 2026. A short walk today, on a very bright spring day. Through Portsmouth, then crossing on the ferry to Gosport (avoiding the long detour all the way round Portsmouth Harbour). Skirting around Gosport itself, the coast path goes through Haslar, past the Royal Hospital, Fort Monckton and Fort Gilkicker. Anglers and picknickers, and the view across the Solent to the Isle of Wight. Finishing at Stokes Bay. 6 miles. (Total walked 939 miles, 46 in Hampshire)
