Amaurea Press

Amaurea Press is a prize-winning independent publisher dedicated to original voices, published in partnership with our authors and distributed worldwide.

Amaurea Press is the publishing imprint of Amaurea Creative Productions, founded in London in 2020. We believe that a book should be as beautiful to hold as it is to read. Working hand in hand with our authors, we seek out originality of voice and vision, and match it with thoughtful, elegant design – creating volumes made to be treasured.

Our publishing model is based on partnership: we invest in every book we publish, and returns are shared with our authors. Each title on our list is chosen because it speaks to our values and creative vision, and every project follows a collaborative journey from the first editorial conversation to design, production, distribution and promotion. Our publishing list is carefully curated, with only a handful of new titles chosen each year.

Alongside our own publishing programme, we occasionally provide independent editorial support for writers whose projects fall outside our scope. These services are entirely separate from our publishing arm, and are offered transparently to help writers prepare their work for the wider literary world.

Our books are distributed in the UK and EU through Gazelle Book Services, and globally through Ingram, and are available through independent bookshops and major online retailers. Our eBooks are distributed through multiple platforms, and are also available directly through Payhip.
