Amaurea in 2025
As 2025 comes to a close, we wanted to share a snapshot of what the past twelve months have looked like for Amaurea – a year shaped by new publications, public events, international conversations, and some genuinely heartening moments of recognition.
Lisa St Aubin de Terán on BBC Radio 4
It was a pleasure to hear Lisa St Aubin de Terán on BBC Radio 4’s A Good Read earlier this week, joining Harriett Gilbert and Michelle Ogundehin for a conversation that moved between the deeply personal and the sharply political – exactly the terrain in which Lisa’s own writing has always flourished.
Book Fairs and Festivals
This autumn, Amaurea is participating at two independent book fairs: the London Spanish Book & Zine Fair in October (featuring Anna Lidia Vega Serova), and the Oxford Indie Book Fair in November (featuring Richard Walker). Meanwhile, Lisa St Aubin de Terán has been taking part in the King’s Lynn Literary Festival.

Anna Lidia in Madrid
On Friday 27 June, Anna Lidia Vega Serova and translator Robin Munby held an event at the Desperate Literature bookshop in Madrid, to promote the new English edition of Anima Fatua, published by Amaurea Press on 12 June.
From London to Beijing: Amaurea’s next chapter in global storytelling
We are proud to share that Amaurea is now establishing a base in Beijing, China, deepening our commitment to multilingual, cross-cultural storytelling from two dynamic global cities: Beijing and London.
Winner of English PEN Award
We are very pleased to announce that Anna Lidia Vega Serova’s Anima Fatua, translated from Spanish into English by Robin Munby and due to be published by Amaurea in June 2025, has won an English PEN, PEN Translates Award (supported by the Arts Council of England).
