British Coast - Stage 058 - Selsey to West Wittering

16th September. Starting from the sunset side of Selsey, with its views towards the Isle of Wight along the horizon, and the distant sight of Portsmouth. The shingle stretch of Windmill Beach, passing its large holiday park - to the detour around the Medmerry Nature Reserve, the salt marsh half-reclaimed for farmland, yet still protected. The intriguing Periwinkle shelter marking the return to the coast itself, and the long reach of Bracklesham Bay, to the Witterings. The sudden surprise after all that shingle, to suddenly find white, white sand at West Wittering Beach. Round the sand dunes of East Head, and back into Snow Hill Creek. Chichester Harbour starts here. 14 miles (Total walked 870 miles, 132 miles in Sussex)
