British Coast - Stage 060 - Bosham to Emsworth
30th November 2025. Continuing around the channels and creeks of Chichester Harbour. Watching the sun rise above Bosham, while tracing the coast past Chidham, round Cobnor Point, and up past the Nutborne Marshes. A stillness on the air, and on the water. Reaching Thorney Island, the way barred by a gate as, on crossing the Great Deep, the land becomes military, headquarters of the Royal Artillery. But so long as you promise to keep to the coastal path, they let you through - after their cameras have had a good look at you. Salt marshy down one side, giving way to the sands of Pilsey. Then back up Emsworth Channel, to reach the Hermitage Bridge, and the crossing into Hampshire. The end of the Sussex has been reached. 15 miles (Total walked 893 miles, 155 in Sussex)
