5th August 2025. The sun rising over Shoreham lighthouse, while tracing the edges of Shoreham Beach, past the remains of its Fort overlooking the escape of the River Adur, and the entrance to Shoreham Harbour. Then, with the sun rising steadily behind, following the long shingle sweep. Past Widewater Lagoon, Glancer and Lancing Beaches, to Worthing and its pier. Then the the path traces a line between greensward and shingled coast, and occasional bursts of beach hut guardians. Goring. Ferring. Kingston, with its expensive residences guarding their privacy. While approaching Angmering, rock patterns left by anonymous artists. From there into the modest resort of Littlehampton, guarding over the outlet of the River Arun. A historic port, famed for its historic smuggling, and maintaining its maritime feel. 17 miles (Total walked 836 miles, 98 miles in Sussex)
